Interview With Lynda Adams Part 1

I will be taking a little bit of a rabbit trail from the series. I recently had an interview with Lynda Adam on the Living Life with Lynda Radio Show. I’ve broken the interview into three parts and today I’ll be sharing the first part of that interview with you. The conversation was around listening as well as how that fits into life coaching.

Also to note I’ll be heading down to Nashville next week for a certification and I’ll be sharing a little more about what that means for Mountain Pass Life Coaching. But now let’s get into the interview.

The Only Obstacle Of Listening

This is the third episode of the simply listen podcast series and I’ll be talking to you about the one obstacle that stops listening from happening.  So far, in the first week I introduced you to the direction and overall purpose of the Simply Listen series, and last week you heard about the one foundational principle of listening.  I have heard some really good responses, and please keep the feedback coming so that I can create content for you and content that will help you specifically.

The Foundational Principle Of Listening

We are continuing a podcast series called “Simply Listen”. Last week I kicked off this series of podcasts by setting some groundwork for the entire collection of episodes, and today I’ll be sharing the one foundational principle that is the key to unlocking real listening.

Simply Listen

Imagine yourself having the most difficult conversation you can think of and walking away from that with peace. Envision standing up after a tense meeting and instead of cycling through a burdened and negative cycle of emotions, extending your hand out to thank someone for their time and insight. If the only thing you got from today’s episode was the awareness that better listening is available. It would be worth it. If the only thing you got from the “Simply Listen” series of podcasts was a plan to engage listening differently. It would be worth it. If the only thing you got from spending time talking with me was a more enjoyable life from increasing your ability to listen to what people are actually saying. It would be worth it. I want to help you change your perspective on listening using the wisdom you already have.

Why You Don't Need a New Year's Resolution

It’s that time of year when you start to reflect and get caught up in a bit of dreaming about living a better life. On today’s episode I’ll be talking about some reasons New Year's Resolutions don’t work and giving out a few ideas to create an actual change that will last a lifetime.

Merry New Year and the Christmas Season

The way I like to open up this conversation about the new podcast series coming up in early January is that it is the first true gift of Christmas. This episode is a promo for the anticipated series on "Listening" that will launch next year.
